Adore Boards
For the 155th week of "7 QUESTION SUNDAY" we shine the spotlight on another influential individual from the PNW. Doreen Argueta is the owner of Adore Boards, a grazing board company.
4EVRGRN: Hey, DA! Tell us a little about yourselves.
DA: My name is Doreen founder & owner of Adore Boards, LLC. I’m a mom living her best life in Steilacoom. HR enthusiast by day and cheese stylist by night. We create bespoke grazing table and charcuterie boards to go in our commissary kitchen in downtown Tacoma. My favorite part about this business in truly personalizing your charcuterie boards to the best of my ability!
How did you get into creating boards?
DA: When I moved to Washington in 2020, I knew I wanted to create a side business and put my creative side to use! I wanted to create something that allowed me to engage with so many people, not just internet sales. Charcuterie boars where the perfect combination of art and hosting, and here we are 2 years later!
What is the most unique request for a board you’ve had?
DA: The most unique I’d say was to create a charcuterie bouquet in February of 2021.
Favorite place to escape in the PNW?
DA: My favorite place so far has been Bainbridge Island. There is just something about being surrounded by water in a small town.
We’ve seen some impressive ones, what’s the largest board you’ve ever put together?
DA: Our largest grazing table has been an 18-foot table for a wedding of 150. It took 3 hours of prep in our commissary kitchen and about an hour to set up.
Favorite local product?
DA: My favorite local product is rainier cherries hands down.
What are two board “must haves” you swear by?
DA: Two must haves are prosciutto and fig jam.
Wildest board experience?
DA: Wildest board experience has got to be setting up on a yacht and it takes off not realizing I wasn’t supposed to be a passenger. They had to come back to drop me off.
