Jack + Adeline Home and Hearth

For the 112th week of "7 QUESTION SUNDAY" we shine the spotlight on another influential individual from the PNW. Leanne and Paul Franetovich are the owners of Jack + Adeline Home and Hearth where custom home furnishings meet fresh baked bread.

4EVRGRN: Hey, J+A! Tell us a little about yourselves.

J+A: We are a husband and wife run lifestyle company. 'Jack + Adeline' is an homage to it's namesakes. Jack was Leanne's grandfather who was, among many things, a woodworker. Adeline was Paul's grandmother, who loved to bake and cook for her family and community. We named our business after two people that influenced us greatly during our formative years and are the daily inspiration to do and be better. We design and build custom home decor and furnishings from salvaged wood sourced here in the PNW as well as base our entire food side of the business on locally-sourced, artisan-made food and beverages. With two sides of a business that seem quite different, they are in fact quite complimentary. We help you build your home from within by providing everything you need to gather your community around your table.

How is the PNW represented in your brand?

J+A: The PNW landscape is literally IN our products. Our home décor items are made from locally salvaged lumber and our bread is a slow food made with wild yeast gathered directly from the environment arounds us.

What’s your most popular menu item?

J+A: Our most popular home décor items are our unique, handmade cutting and serving boards. Our most popular baked good is our Wild Yeast Country Loaf.

Most memorable custom creation?

J+A:It is and will always be the first custom creation I made which were three eight foot long dining tables built for our wedding celebration. We still use the first one I made in our dining room at home.

Favorite product to create?

J+A: Definitely custom, handmade furniture pieces designed specifically for our discerning clientele. The more customer input the better! Truly custom from the ground up.

Best meal in the PNW?

J+A: Anything served up at The Table or Wooden City!

Favorite place to escape in the PNW?

J+A: Honestly, our own home. We are surrounded by big, beautiful trees with a view overlooking the Tacoma Narrows and pieces in our home are created from that same PNW landscape. We couldn't ask for a more tranquil retreat from the daily grind.

Favorite local product?

J+A: Bluebeard Coffee Roasters! Fantastic people, fantastic product!
