MAry miles
For the 207th feature of Seven Question Sunday, we shine the spotlight on another amazing small business from the PNW. Mary Miles is a woman helping families take care of what matters most; Their Environment, health, and Finances.
4EG: How did you learn about The Wellness Company?
MM: In August 2001, a longtime friend called me. I was a big fat no, at first, because I thought it was another MLM. The more I learned about The Wellness Company, the more I knew it was a company I wanted to shop from and share with others.
4EG: Why are healthier, sustainable products important to you?
MM: This is what I know to be true for myself. When I have my health, anything is possible. When I don’t, nothing else matters. It is important to me that my personal environment, and what I put on and in my body are the best and safest I can find.
4EG: What is your favorite product?
MM: Wow, this is always such a difficult question, because I love all the products I use. The Peak Performance Pack has a proven delivery system to reduce inflammation and free radicals. I have arthritis, but I do not experience arthritis because of these supplements. I also rarely get sick, because of how these supplements support my immune system.
4EG: If you could switch out one thing in people’s homes, what would it be?
MM: I am an advocate for people using better, safer cleaning and laundry products in their homes and environments, because it affects everything! The air they breathe, which includes their babies, kids, fur-babies, etc. So many health issues like allergies and asthma, dry skin and eczema, headaches, and more are often caused by toxic products in the home.
4EG: Do you do anything else for a living?
MM: Yes, in 1996, I started a company called “Mayhem to Miracles”. I am a personal assistant and professional organizer. I get to be effective in another way in people’s homes and offices by creating order and implementing systems that allow people and families to thrive in their environments.
4EG: What is your favorite place to explore in the PNW?
MM: I love being on or near the water. I love cute little communities and exploring their shops and restaurants.
4EG: How long have you lived in the PNW?
MM: I grew up in eastern Washington and have been a gypsy much of my life. After living in the Seattle area for over 30 years, I moved to San Diego, Santa Fe, Durango, and then back to Washington in 2017. I lived in Oregon for three years and recently moved to Tacoma this spring. I am enjoying the Tacoma area, meeting many new friends, and being close to family and long-time friends, again.
