FOR THE 142ND WEEK OF "7 QUESTION SUNDAY" WE SHINE THE SPOTLIGHT ON ANOTHER INFLUENTIAL INDIVIDUAL FROM THE PNW. MICHELLE KLAVUHN IS A CONTENT CREATOR PUTTING CLEVER SPINS ON HER DAUGHTER’S SCHOOL LUNCH.

4EVRGRN: Hey, Michelle! Tell us a little about yourselves.

MK: "Let's make some lunch for Adalynn" Hi guys, I'm Adalynn's mama, Michelle! I make fun lunches for my little one! We have lived here in the beautiful PNW in Washington State for four wonderful years and love it! During the rainy cold months you can find us either baking our little hearts out or skating at the skating rink. Summers are our absolute favorite and the reason I fell in love with the PNW. In the summertime we are always out hiking, kayaking, camping and exploring. 

1. How did you decide to make videos of Adalynn’s lunch?

MK: I was posting pictures of her lunches on my personal instagram account just for fun and a lot of my friends kept telling me to start a TikTok. I honestly didn't think anyone would really watch the videos and was veryyy hesitant. But I am so happy I gave it a shot because I now have an incredible group of supporters who have all become internet friends! So many wonderful people all around the world have reached out and shared beautiful stories about their moms! It's truly become a beautiful community that inspires me daily.  

What is Adalynn’s favorite lunch item?

MK: She has a sweet tooth like her mama so probably the sweets. She is a huge fan of anything with cheese and if you know, you know. She LOVES her ranch. The ranch is an ongoing joke on TikTok. haha

What is your favorite family friendly activity in the PNW?

MK: Do I have to choose just one? haha..Hiking forsure! My husband and I started hiking with Adalynn when she was just a few months old to get her into it. Mt. Rainier is one of her favorite places to go hiking. We have hiked Panorama Point with her over 20 times already and its the cutest thing ever to see her face light up once we get to the mountain. She believes that as she gets bigger (older) the mountain will become smaller. (if she only knew lol) Sharing the outdoors with her is by far my favorite thing ever.

What is your favorite theme to base a lunch box around?

MK: Halloween theme is my favorite! It's my favorite holiday and there are so many fun ideas you can do. 

How do you come up with all your ideas for what foods to pack?

MK: I usually ask Adalynn what theme she would like that week then I think about what foods would go well with it, etc. I plan out our dinners for the week and try to use the similar ingredients to stay within a budget. Adalynn helps me with ideas too! She gave me the idea about the edamame and broccoli for the turtle for her ocean theme lunch.

Best meal in the PNW?

MK: Does coffee count? haha. I would have to say sushi! I love going out with friends to get sushi and surprisingly Adalynn likes sushi, too! The salmon here is incredible!

Favorite local product?

MK: Tillamook cheese and Dave's bread! Two ingredients you can always find in my fridge that are both local in Oregon!
