For the 73rd week of “7 Question Sunday” we shine the spotlight on another influential individual from the PNW! This week we introduce you to Misty, owner of Herb N Oil in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and a Corporate CBD Consultant.

4EVRGRN: Hey Misty! Tell us about yourself.

ML: My name is Misty Lake and I was born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. I founded the brand Herb 'N Oil which currently manufactures, wholesales & retails hemp derived CBD products. A huge part of my business & passion is educating both consumers & healthcare providers about hemp derived CBD. I also am a Corporate CBD Consultant. I'm blessed to help companies large & small across the US learn how to incorporate CBD into their existing product lines or help them develop their own unique products or brand as well as educate them on the nuances of this budding industry.

1) Favorite local product?

ML: We are blessed to have so much local talent creating amazing products, it's hard to choose just one! One of the first products I started selling out of my massage studio (back in 2013) is still a favorite of mine- Protein Pucks. A close second would be MK 84 Porter by Mad Bomber Brewery.

2) What is one place anyone who visits the PNW must visit?

ML: Farragut State Park- if you love the outdoors there's just so much to do there! 

3) Favorite place to escape in the PNW?

ML: The mountains! There are countless hiking trails everywhere you go with unique views and scenery from waterfalls and old mine shafts to hidden lakes and unexpected flower fields- even the same trails during different seasons offer unique experiences.

4) Best part about doing business in the PNW?

ML: The people are warm and welcoming and supportive of small businesses.

5) What is the one thing everyone must try from your product line?

ML: One of my topicals- there is no possibility of medication interaction when CBD is used externally. I always enhance each cream with other beneficial herbs and oils such as arnica, frankincense, magnesium, or cedarwood. Plus, it does a nice job of reducing muscle & joint inflammation & pain while smelling really good!

6) What sets your products apart from other CBD products? 

ML: The tinctures actually taste good while still being naturally flavored, so It's not hard to make it a part of your daily wellness routine. Because of it being made with CBD Isolate, there is no risk of a positive drug test as well as being safe for kids and pets and those with Cannabis allergies.

7) How has CBD been embraced in Idaho?

ML: Fortunately, once people realize it is legal and non-intoxicating, they are pretty open to taking advantage of its benefits. Education is key since Idaho's laws are a bit behind in the times.
