Spirit Cereal LLC

For the 200th week of "7 QUESTION SUNDAY" we shine the spotlight on another influential individual from the PNW. Monique Stucky is the owner and creator of Spirit Cereal LLC a shop focused on gratitude with self-care products.

4EVRGRN: Hey, MS! Tell us a little about yourselves.

MS: Hi! I'm Monique! I created Spirit Cereal LLC during the worst year of my life. Let's be honest, 'The Tower' year (2020) was the worst for everyone; and through it all I was able to find pockets of #gratitude because my Spirit team is always on 100% & I am grateful to be here today.

Why is practicing gratitude so important to you?

MS: The practice of Gratitude is so important to me because it helps me balance my energies and gives clarity to where my focus needs to be. Gratitude is another way of saying appreciation and when something appreciates; it grows.

What makes baths such a great tool to reset?

MS: Taking baths is an amazing refuge! It's a place to make sanctuary in a chaotic world. I read books, I let go of energies that aren't serving my highest good and I rejuvenate. Allow yourself even just 15 or 20 minutes to do this and you'll see the benefits!

Tell us about your Gratitude Jars!

MS: The Gratitude Jars are pure joy! One of my favorite foods is still surprisingly, cereal, so I wanted to make a 'cereal' I could share with my Spirit Team. My spiritual practice is nature based; I looked for ingredients that had magical and metaphysical properties. The jars come with a cute copy of my handwritten glossary explaining the properties along with a little spoon to help you find the surprise inside! The idea is to focus your intentions on the offerings as you put them out. I have both indoor and outdoor altar spaces. When I greet the Sun in the morning I put out offerings and from there I can read the messages brought to me by the fauna that comes by. Everyday magic!

How did you come up with the name Spirit Cereal?

MS: The name Spirit Cereal LLC came to me at the same time as the Gratitude Jars. I am forever young at heart, I love cereal! :) For the record, growing up my favorite was Capt'n Crunch; I have since 'grown up' and now enjoy Honey Nut Cheerios. Heart healthy.

Why bath tea over other popular bath options?

MS: With my spiritual practice being nature based; I enjoy taking baths with flowers, oils & herbs. I also found that taking these baths can be quite the chore to clean up so I decided to add tulle bags. I'm an avid tea drinker so it just made sense to me to 'steep' my bath mix the same way! So now I have the option to take fabulous goddess baths and have easy clean up too! I am in the process of perfecting my bath bomb making skills so a WOOSAH bath bomb is definitely coming in the future

Favorite local product?

MS: My favorite local product is a bar soap by Sunflower Soul Apothecary! I remember getting a banana coconut one from Mattice's Beauty Supply and it literally had me running to the shower each day. So amazing. Those soaps are dope!

Tell us about your cereal candles!

MS: The cereal candles I do not personally make, but I do get them wholesale from women owned businesses. I have a goal in the next few months to take a candle making class so I can possibly make them myself. In the meantime, I am proud to say that I support other women entrepreneurs!
