4EVRGRN: Hey, WPC! Tell us a little about yourself.
WPC: Hi! We are Whitney and Taylor, and we are the owners of Wanna Picnic Co., a new luxury picnic business in Puyallup! We were both born and raised in the PNW and have been best friends for 20 years! Since we were kids, we both loved spending time with our friends and were always looking for new fun things to do. We wanted to start a fun new business that would bring friends together, so we created Wanna Picnic Co.! We have taken the traditional idea of a picnic and added a chic boho touch to create an unforgettable luxury experience! Whether you are looking to celebrate an anniversary, birthday, proposal, date night, engagement, new baby, girls night or just because, Wanna Picnic Co. has got you covered!
Favorite place to have a picnic in the PNW?
WPC: One of our favorite places to have a picnic in the PNW is Ruston Way in Tacoma! There is nothing better than having a picnic at the waterfront with Mt. Rainier in the background. If you have never experienced, it for yourself we highly recommend!
What is essential to have a good picnic experience?
WPC: Have your ever heard of the saying good vibes, good friends, good time? Well this sounds silly, but good friends or a loved one is essential for a good picnic experience! Wanna Picnic Co. strives to set the vibe with our picnic setups and leaves the rest in our client’s hands!
Favorite local product?
WPC: Right now, our favorite local product is POPS! truffles! They are based out of Federickson and offer a variety of sweet treats. If you haven’t tried them, you should definitely check them out!
What makes picnics so special?
WPC: Picnics are a great way to spend time with your loved ones and the versatility of picnics is what makes them special. Picnics can be romantic and intimate, or they can be fun and bubbly. You can literally celebrate any occasion and that’s one of the reasons we created Wanna Picnic Co.!
What’s the benefits of hiring you versus a grab and go picnic?
WPC: Wanna Picnic Co. handles everything from the style and design to the delivery, setup and cleanup. We provide the convenience of a grab and go picnic but with the luxury of your living room. Forget packing the old picnic basket and blanket. We provide tables with decor and tableware along with pillows and blankets to create a luxurious picnic experience!
How do you decide what types of food to include in your picnics?
WPC: Wanna Picnic Co. offers charcuterie boxes for the perfect addition to your luxury picnic! Our boxes include a variety of cheeses, meats, crackers and fruits meaning there’s something for everyone. We didn’t want to limit our clients’ options and welcome them to bring their own snacks or food because really any food is picnic food!
What makes the PNW a perfect place for a picnic?
WPC: The PNW is the perfect place for picnics because of the beautiful outdoor scenery! You can choose between mountains, forests, lakes, or a combination making the location options endless. We can’t wait for the weather to get warmer to get out and explore more locations!
